Sir,

With reference to my telegram No.91 of the

[24]25th June, 1934, regarding the flotation of the new 3%

Dollar Loan I have the honour to inform you that, in addition

to the allotments of six million dollars to the Chartered Bank

of India, Australia and China, and of three million dollars to

the P. & 0. Banking Corporation, applications were received

from Banks for nine and a half million dollars, from a firm

of brokers for two million dollars, and from an investment

company for one million dollars.

Applications from the general public for

allotment in each case of less than fifty thousand dollars

totalled six hundred and sixty three thousand dollars while

applications ranging from fifty thousand dollars to four

hundred thousand dollars made up the balance of three million

four hundred and forty two thousand dollars.
